Stephen Lee Celebrancy agrees to provide:

  • 2 meetings plus additional phone/email /Skype contact as required to discuss ceremony content
  • Bespoke ceremony script created in partnership with you
  • A copy of the “Ideas Inspiration Information” booklet to help you plan your ceremony
  • Educational resources to help you build a strong relationship
  • Timely and accurate completion and submission of all legal paperwork
  • Availability for 90 minutes on your wedding day beginning 30 minutes before your ceremony start time
  • Professional PA system with mic(s), music playback, and line out facility for videographers
  • Provision of all music required
  • Control and playback of all the songs/music in your ceremony
  • A professional and personable performance of your ceremony
  • Presentation copy of your ceremony script
  • Standard Wedding Certificate
  • A ceremony fee quote inclusive of all travel costs and any associated extra time requirements
  • Follow-up care as required

If requested, at additional cost as detailed on the Fee Schedule, Stephen Lee Celebrancy agrees to provide:

  • Provision of Full Marriage Certificate from Births Deaths and Marriages department
  • Wedding rehearsal

You agree to provide:

  • Full contact details so you can be reached easily
  • Updated details of any changes to address, phone number, etc
  • Timely updates of any changes to ceremony arrangements (time, venue etc)
  • Clear guidance and feedback as we write your ceremony plus full and truthful disclosure
  • The required documents for the Notice Of Intended Marriage
  • Translation of required documents if not in English by a NAATI translator
  • Nomination of two witnesses aged 18 or over
  • Materials for any wedding rituals you choose
  • Table and two chairs for signing the Marriage Register (often provided by venue or as part of chair hire package)

Terms and Conditions

  1. Stephen Lee will provide Marriage Celebrant Services in accordance with the Marriage Act 1961, Marriage Regulations 1963, Code of Practice for Marriage Celebrants (Regulation 37L).
  2. The date, time and location of your ceremony are as stated on the Booking Confirmation.
  3. Any change to the date, time and/or location of your ceremony is subject to availability. A rescheduling fee may also apply.
  4. Stephen Lee will arrive at your venue 30 minutes before the ceremony start time stated on your Booking Confirmation and will be on site for up to 1 ½ hours. Beyond that time, availability cannot be guaranteed if your ceremony starts significantly later than agreed.
  5. Clients are required to provide Stephen Lee with all original documentation requested, including any accredited translation documentation as required.
  6. Clients are required to provide Stephen Lee with accurate information, and acknowledge that there are legal penalties for making a false declaration.
  7. Stephen Lee is legally unable to perform the ceremony if clients appear to be intoxicated or incapacitated. Judgement is entirely at the discretion of Stephen Lee.
  8. Clients are responsible for nominating two official witnesses aged 18 or over.
  9. The total fee and inclusions are as detailed on your Booking Confirmation.
  10. The deposit is payable on booking. This fee is non-refundable if the agreement is cancelled.
  11. The balance of the outstanding total fee is payable before your wedding date, otherwise Stephen Lee reserves the right to cancel your booking.
  12. If this agreement is cancelled after paying the fee balance, any refund will be at the discretion of Stephen Lee.
  13. Should Stephen Lee be unable to perform the ceremony due to illness, injury or other incapacity he will make every endeavour to locate an alternative celebrant.
  14. If your ceremony cannot proceed for any reason, Stephen Lee does not accept responsibility for any associated costs. You are strongly advised to take out Wedding Insurance to cover yourselves.
  15. Stephen Lee cannot advise on marriage law outside Australia. If you are a foreign citizen, you should confirm that your marriage in Australia is recognised by your home country and check if additional authentication is required for your marriage certificate.
  16. Stephen Lee cannot advise on visa and immigration matters.
  17. Your ceremony may feature on Stephen Lee’s website, social media channels and/or other promotional material, but if you do not agree, you may opt out.
