Love and Marriage….. go together like a horse and carriage! Khrystyna made her grand entrance in style when she married Dustin on the Central Coast.
This was a wedding planned with great care, creativity and skill. Khrystyna, a teacher, put her creative talents to great use. She wrote her own original “Hand and Rose Ceremony”, where we called on two family members to help plant two rose bushes into the same pot to grow and entwine around each other. We wrote some unique words to go with it, so that goes to show how you can take an idea you’ve seen and give it your own personal twist to make something special and unique.
We had a twist of the modern with the roses, and we had a twist of tradition too. The boys were in top hats and tails and Khrystyna’s arrival in a cream carriage pulled by two white horses set the scene.
She wanted to arrive with the top down – and with the skies looking decidedly darker by the second, we were worried – but the rain held off enough to give her the arrival she wanted.
And while we joked in the lead up to the day that Dustin was in danger of becoming a ‘groomzilla’, he made sure everything went to plan. So a great team effort all round! Afterwards we squeezed into the carriage for a photo, and I had a wonderful message afterwards:
“You’re awesome, Stephen! So many people commented on how wonderfully you conducted our ceremony. We absolutely loved having you with us.”
And I loved being with them, too!
Khrystyna and Dustin were married at Linton Gardens, Somersby.
