Weddings are all about celebrating love and union – and that goes for the two families too. Carla and Roger did something I thought was very touching.
We had three generations of each family at the ceremony and they wanted to include everyone. Carla and Roger each gave a rose to each other’s mum as a thank you and a sign of a united extended family. The grandparents were their witnesses for the Marriage Register. And we even had a chair set aside with a flower on it to represent people who are no longer with us, but not forgotten on such an important day. Really, really lovely and it shows how loving and thoughtful these two are, not just to each other, but to those around them – even on their wedding day!
I loved the vintage styling they chose – lots of flowers in jars and a simple but really effective backdrop. And with the Harbour Bridge in the window behind them, you know their photos are going to be special!
Some lovely words from them afterwards too. “The ceremony was very special and many of our friends and family commented on what a wonderful celebrant you are. You made us very relaxed, and you understood our values, and that came across in your words. And the ceremony really set the mood for the rest of the day. We are so lucky that we found your website and so lucky that we had you marry us. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
Roger and Carla were married at Bangarra Dance Theatre, Walsh Bay, NSW.
