Getting married means sharing everything – even down to restaurant meals. At least it does for Ryan and Emily!
Their ceremony at Nielsen Park in Sydney was everything a wedding should be. There was laughter, tears, joy and love. They both looked so happy and excited throughout the whole ceremony, and I spotted a few eyes being dabbed with tissues when they said their vows.
As I always suggest, they’d written some vows of their own for each other, which was a highlight of the ceremony. One of Ryan’s was “I am also willing to share all my meals with you so you don’t get order envy”. That’s because Emily always wants to try a bit of what Ryan has ordered when they go out to eat! So that part got a big laugh from their family and friends.
That’s exactly what I love about writing a wedding ceremony – we have the flexibility to focus on the couple and make their marriage full of their personalities as we tell their story. I so enjoyed being able to do just that for Emily and Ryan.
Although we had a quick relocation becauseof the rain, it definitely didn’t dampen anyone’s enjoyment and the sun came out just as I declared them husband and wife. Perfect timing for a perfect couple!
Ryan and Emily were married at Greycliffe House, Vaucluse
