Eight months since Marriage Equality, it’s still a thrill to be able to describe marriage as “the union of two people”.
After 8 years, Dean and Nathan were finally able to marry in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. When I sent them their ceremony, Dean said “I was very emotional to read the wording of “between two people, to the exclusion of all others.” This is such a dream come true to do this in Australia.” Thank you Australia for voting YES. The vote may feel some way in the past now, but it’s still making a massive difference to people’s present and future.
Their dog Ruby was a big part of the day. In fact, she may just have stolen the show! Having your fur family with you on your wedding day is always a lot of fun. After all, why shouldn’t they enjoy it too? Thanks to the awesome Amy of Wedding Paws for being Mum for the day.

Dean and Nathan were married at Sergeants Mess, Mosman.
