The Sydney Morning Herald interviewed me and a couple I married who had an unplugged wedding ceremony.
One important thing I have learned is to have a conversation when we plan your wedding about what you’d like everyone to do about taking photos and uploading to social media, and have a clear plan in place.
“The big day has finally arrived. The preparations have been going since 6am – hair and makeup pampering. Walking down the aisle in that dress, family and friends line the aisles. But instead of seeing their smiling faces, you’re greeted by a crowd of LCD screens.
While many couples embrace social media on their #weddingday, couples are increasingly asking guests to leave their phones and tablets at home and holding “unplugged weddings”.
