Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating love, so Tennille and Steve made sure there was a lot of love to go round at their February 14th L’Aqua wedding!
Every ceremony I create is different, because of course every couple is different. Steve and Tennille’s ceremony was very relaxed and informal, and we talked about love, cheesy nibbles, Scrubs (the TV show), friendship, Pie Face, family, Celebrity Apprentice NY, wine and adventures. Quite impressive now I list it all out!
When you’ve been together for 9 years, your wedding becomes even more of a party to celebrate everything you’ve achieved together over that time, surrounded by everyone who’s helped and supported you along the way. It’s a chance to say thank you, as well as I love you. So I made sure their friends had a big input into the wedding too. As one of them told me, “Their house is constantly filled with laughter and cheese (Steve puts cheese on every meal possible). They know that there is nothing that cannot be fixed with a cheesy meal and glass of wine.”
So although I avoid cheesy wedding ceremonies at all costs, this was the one occasion when a bit of (real) cheese was appropriate! Tennille and Steve had a lot of fun with some “I do” vows which made everyone laugh. Here’s what they said:
Tennille, today you will marry your best friend, as you promise Steve your continuing love, laughter, support, comfort, encouragement and commitment, through good and bad, today and every day for the rest of your life. Do you also promise to always fill up the water jug, make Steve cheesy things on hungover days, try your hardest to minimise the midnight full-body kicking attacks, and love Scrubs, as long as you both shall live?
TENNILLE REPLIES – “I do”
And Steve, today you will marry your best friend as you promise Tennille your continuing love, laughter, support, comfort, encouragement and commitment, through good and bad, today and every day for the rest of your life. Do you also promise to always give Tennille the last Nacho, fill up her wine glass when empty, pretend to love Rylie as much as she does, and love Scrubs, as long as you both shall live?
STEVE REPLIES – “I do”
Tennille and Steve were married in the Gold Room at L’Aqua in Darling Harbour, Sydney.
